Caring for Children as if They Were Our Own

Little Munchkins Preschool is located at 20 Main Street in Otisville, NY. Our preschool program is geared toward children ages 3 to 5 years old (children can enroll as early as 2 years, 9 months). Our curriculum coincides with the New York State Common Core.

Meet Our Teachers

We provide a safe and nurturing environment. Our teaching staff is dedicated to helping the children to learn and grow.

Miss Margaret

I have been in the early childhood field for ten years. I have a Master’s Degree from Drexel University in Education. I am certified for birth through second grade, and first through sixth grade in New York State. I have been married for fifteen years and have one son. My greatest love is working with children and watching them play, learn and grow.

Miss Diana

I have been working in the preschool field for the past three years, working as an assistant teacher. I’ve been married for 15 years and have three beautiful children. I love working and creating with preschool children. Every day they provide me with new challenges and lots of laughs.

Miss Liz

I have a Master’s Degree in Early Education and Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I have taught Pre-K for five years and have been married for 18 years. I took time off to be a stay-at-home mom to my two children, but am back in the field working as an assistant teacher. My dream has always been to become a teacher and help children learn the love of reading.

Calendar

We follow the Minisink Valley School District academic year calendar. Please consult the district website, www.minisink.com in cases where school may be closed or delayed because of inclement weather.

Parent Involvement

We encourage parents to contribute to their school by assisting with special projects and sharing their time and talents. Parents are invited to share holidays and other cultural traditions with the children. If you are interested in cooking, baking or reading stories, we encourage you to volunteer your time and energy.

Special Events

Throughout the year we offer many various events and celebrations!

In the Fall we go on apple and pumpkin picking trips.

During November we have our annual Thanksgiving feast, where the parents come to the school and celebrate with us.

As December rolls around we head to the North Pole and hop on the Polar Express!

Moving closer to the Spring we have an Art Exhibit. This is where the children display their art for all to see.

We will be having an Easter egg hunt as we hop into Spring.

Once a month we offer a Parents Night Out! All children, siblings & friends are welcome to attend!

This is where the parents are able to have a night out for themselves. We have activities such as crafts, games, and movies.

It is lots of fun for the children!
